They are making firefighters cover up their tattoos like this one firefighter has a bald eagal to represent his duties in the marine corps and one has a tattoo in remembrance of 9-11 i don't think its right but i want to know what other people think-
ANSWER:
Many companies are making rules banning tattoos being apparent or on view. I don't know that this is fair, but your employer does have the right to deem things workplace appropriate. If you want tattoos, maybe you should get them in an area that will be covered in most day to day settings. I work in a hospital and you cannot have tattoos or body piercings that show when you are in your required uniform.

ANSWER:
Poor Judgment?!?! Who is to make that decision! I am a soldier that fought for my country! I have tattoos! Was being a soldier bad judgment??? Jeez Louise!!! Absolutely you can be a fire fighter! There are past presidents and plenty of law makers who have tattoos. It is your body and you are free to do with it as you wish. Trust me if my house was burning down and I was trapped and you were brave enough to enter it and rescue me my last thought would be, "Oh my god he has tattoos, I'll just wait for the next man willing to lose his life for me." If you can't find a job where you live but have the desire to be honorable I would encourage you to keep looking or move somewhere else. Good luck my friend.

ANSWER:
IT DON'T REALLY MATTER WHAT PEOPLE THINK ABOUT YOU, IT IS HOW DO YOU REALLY FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF. I LOVE TATTOOES MYSELF AND A FIREFIGHTER HAS A VERY HARD AND DANGEROUS JOB. SO IF I WAS NOT ENGAGED AND GETTING MARRIED SOON I WOULD HAVE BEEN INTERESTED IN SEEING WHAT YOU LOOKED LIKE....BUT THE MAIN THING IS BEING HAPPY WITH YOURSELF..
